PSG vs LeverkusenThe top two sides in Group A will square off at Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening hoping to all but secure their place in the next stage.

And with both teams quite impressive in their first two Champions League fixtures, we could see plenty of fireworks in the high-profile encounter.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to dominate the French Ligue 1, as they are on the road to fourth successive league trophy, while the team also managed to show a great deal of promise in Europe.

Nevertheless, they were somewhat unfortunate to miss out on the semi-finals three times in a row, and no doubt they will attempt to make things right this time out.

And while the Saints’ 2-0 win over Malmo FF was hardly a surprise, Laurent Blanc’s team also hammered Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 on the road, proving they have what it takes to reach the final stages of the competition.

And with PSG currently on a five-match winning run, they have been made 2.50 (3/2) favourites to defeat their more illustrious opponents.

Laurent Blanc welcomes back key midfielder Blaise Matuidi from a domestic suspension, whereas Kevin Trapp returns from injury.

The bad news is that Marco Verratti (calf) remains unavailable, whereas David Luiz faces a fitness test ahead of the Real Madrid game.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Trapp – Aurier, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell – Pastore, Motta, Matuidi – Di Maria, Ibrahimovic, Cavani.

Ten games into the new season and Real Madrid are still unbeaten, but it is not as if they have impressed under Rafael Benitez.

Numerous injuries to star players probably prevented los Blancos from hitting the ground running early on, and the team have done well to cope with everything thrown their way.

Real Madrid are currently level on points with Celta Vigo and Barcelona at the La Liga summit, while two wins in as many Champions League games mean that their place in the knockout stage is virtually secured.

Los Blancos will want to show they are the strongest side in the group and they are 3.20 (11/5) to win at Parc des Princes.

Rafa Benitez faces serious selection problems with Pepe, Daniel Carvajal, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale out injured and James Rodriguez a long-term casualty.

The good news is that Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos should return to the side after recovering from their respective injuries.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Navas – Danilo, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo – Kroos, Casemiro, Modric – Vazquez, Ronaldo, Isco.
