Sociedad vs ElcheHaving held Deportivo La Coruna to a goalless draw in his first game in charge, David Moyes will want to record the first win when his side host Elche on Friday.

Los Ilicitanos seriously improved their position by taking five points from last three league matches and they arrive at Anoeta in good spirits.

Last season proved pretty disappointing for Real Sociedad even if they managed to show some improvement in the second part of the campaign, before the problems continued in the new season.

The team that played Champions League football last term quickly slipped into the danger zone and nobody was surprised to see Jagoba Arrasate get the boot.

The arrival of former Manchester United boss David Moyes has been seen as a minor surprise, and it remains to be seen whether he can get la Real back to where they belong.

After interim manager Asier Santana led the team to an impressive win over holders Atletico Madrid, David Moyes masterminded a 0-0 draw at Riazor, with Real Sociedad now 1.67 (2/3) to see off Elche.

La Real will have something to build on having kept the first clean sheet of the season, while it is important to note they already defeated Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at Anoeta this term.

Inigo Martinez, Joseba Zaldua and Mikel Gonzalez are injury doubts, whilst Xabi Prieto is definitely out of contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Zubikarai – C. Martinez, Elustondo, Ansotegi, De La Bella – Bergara, Granero – Canales, Vela, Castro – Agirretxe.

Elche are rightly regarded as one of the main candidates for the drop and it is up to them to try and prove the doubters wrong.

Los Ilicitanos had a pretty decent start to the season, sharing spoils with Granada and defeating Rayo Vallecano away following the opening loss to Barcelona, but things quickly started taking a wrong turn.

Elche slipped deep in the relegation zone by taking mere one point from next six league fixtures, although they have managed to show a great deal of improvement of late.

Good results against Espanyol and Getafe saw los Ilicitanos go into the Cordoba game high on confidence and they did really well to come from two goals behind and earn a 2-2 draw.

Elche now finally have a chance to leave the relegation zone and they are available at 2.20 (13/10) with bet365 not to lose at Anoeta.

Coach Fran Escriba has no fresh selection worries at the moment, although first choice goalkeeper Manu Herrera continues to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Tyton – Suarez, Roco, Lomban, Cisma – Fajr, Pasalic, Mosquera, Rodriguez – Jonathas, C. Herrera.
