Betis vs AtleticoThe first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final will see high-flying Atletico Madrid play host to Real Betis, a team that are searching for their fourth victory on the bounce.

While everybody was impressed with what los Colchoneros achieved last term, this season is turning out to be even more successful than the previous one.

Atletico may not have managed to mount a serious title challenge in La Liga, but their fans won’t be too disappointed with the second place in the overall standings and a seven-point advantage over arch rivals Real.

After qualifying for the Europa League knockout stages, Diego Simeone’s side now have a chance to edge closer to Copa del Rey trophy.

The good showing in the 2-0 win over Real Zaragoza helped the players restore some of the lost confidence following several under par showings, so no wonder Atletico are just 1.40 (2/5) with BetVictor to see off Real Betis at their Vicente Calderon.

One of the reasons for such a short price on home win is the fact that top scorer Radamel Falcao Garcia has recovered from injury, with the Colombian 3.00 (2/1) at SkyBet to score the first goal of the match.

With no fresh selection problems to report, boss Diego Simeone is expected to field a very strong side against Real Betis.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Courtois – Juanfran, Miranda, Diaz, Filipe Luis – Mario, Emre – Rodriguez, Raul Garcia, Turan – Falcao.

Real Betis are clearly one of the surprise packages in Spanish La Liga, with the team from Seville slowly becoming serious candidates for a top 4 finish.

Los Verdiblancos had shown a lot of potential last term as well, but they have been much more consistent this season and that has made all the difference.

While winning three of their last four league games, Pepe Mel’s side experienced some problems in Copa del Rey clashes with Las Palmas, but ultimately did enough to make it to the Last 8.

Even if they go into this tie high on confidence, Real Betis are no less than 4.00 (3/1) with William Hill to make it to the semi-finals.

The most important thing for the visitors is that playmaker Benat Etxebarria returns to the side after suspension, but Pozuelo, Martinez, Rodriguez and Juan Carlos remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Adrian – Chica, Amaya, Mario, Nacho – Perez, Benat – Vadillo, Molina, Campbell – Castro.
