Reports have suggested that La Liga giants Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with mercurial Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

According to Spanish publication AS, Los Blancos have agreed on terms with the Danish midfielder over a future move to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, they are yet to submit a bid for his signature to current club Tottenham Hotspur, with the asking price reportedly set at approximately £100m. Mauricio Pochettino’s men could well be forced into selling considering Eriksen is out of a contract with the club in the summer of 2020.

Since arriving in North London, the now 27-year-old has become one of the best players in the Premier League. Making 273 appearances since signing from Ajax in 2013, he has scored 65 goals, whilst managing to assist a further 86.

He is also having another brilliant season in the current campaign having scored nine and set up 17 in all competitions.

His current employers though face a big task in getting o the UEFA Champions League after falling to a first-leg semi-final defeat to Eriksen former employers Ajax on Tuesday evening.

They now have to win in Amsterdam if they are to reach their first ever Champions League final and can be backed at odds of 13/5 with Betfred to do just that.
