Officials from Inter Milan including director Piero Ausilio have arrived in London to hold talks with Christian Eriksen and Olivier Giroud according to reports.

As per Sky in Italy, the Serie A outfit are interested in moves for the pair who currently represent Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea respectively.

Both players are out of contract in the summer and are thought to be interested in a switch to Italy potentially as soon as this month.

Inter are also reportedly exploring the option of bringing the two in during the January transfer window, having already lodged bids for the pair. They have entered an £8.5m offer for Eriksen, which has been rejected by Tottenham, whilst their £3.4m bid for the French striker is just below Chelsea’s evaluation of their forward.

Despite the difference in valuations for the two players from their current employers, it is not thought that personal terms with Inter Milan would be a problem.

Eriksen, 27, has been with Tottenham for six and a half seasons since arriving from Ajax. In that time, he has become a key player in North London, scoring 69 goals and setting up a further 89 in 303 appearances. However, he has let his contact run down and now looks set to depart.

Meanwhile, Giroud has been with Chelsea for nearly two years. Having enjoyed plenty of success with near neighbours Arsenal, he has found opportunities harder to come by at Stamford Bridge having made just 34 starts in all competitions. He does have an excellent goal record in that time though with 19 goals and 13 assists.

Inter are currently as low as 1/8 with Betfair to be Eriksen’s employers by the end of the transfer window, whilst Giroud is available as low as 1/14 to move to the Italian club in January.
