AS Roma are in problems after back to back defeats to Torino and Juventus, meaning they desperately need to win the final game of the year.

That will be no easy task considering that their opponents Sassuolo have won last three Serie A fixtures, defeating Inter Milan last time out.

AS Roma have done really well under new boss Eusebio Di Francesco, having mounted a serious title challenge in his first season in charge.

However, the team have suffered a dip in form of late that saw them crash out of Coppa Italia as they lost at home to Torino, while also losing to Juventus in Serie A.

As a result, AS Roma now sit seven points behind leaders Napoli, albeit with a game in hand, and they have enough time to return to the right track.

The game against in-form Sassuolo will be very important for the Giallorossi as they cannot afford any more slip ups at the moment, and bear in mind that home win pays 1.30 (3/10).

Apart from long-term casualty Rick Karsdorp, Eusebio Di Francesco will have fully fit squad to choose from for the final game in 2017.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Alisson – Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov – Strootman, De Rossi, Nainggolan – Perotti, Dzeko, El Shaarawy.

This season did not start well for Sassuolo, who struggled after the departure of Eusebio Di Francesco to AS Roma, but they seem to have finally hit the ground running.

With star players Domenico Berardi, Matteo Politano and Francesco Magnanelli not exactly impressing, the Neroverdi needed a while to turn things around, but they are now going through a very good moment.

Sassuolo recorded successive league wins over Crotone, Sampdoria and Inter Milan to escape the danger zone and they are now just seven points behind Europa League positions.

This means that the Neroverdi travel to the capital without any pressure and looking to test their skills against AS Roma and former players Pellegrini and Defrel.

Head coach Beppe Iachini is expected to field an unchanged side to that which defeated Inter Milan, but Sensi, Biondini and Letschert remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Consigli – Lirola, Goldaniga, Acerbi, Peluso – Missiroli, Magnanelli, Duncan – Berardi, Falcinelli, Politano.
