Sassuolo vs JuventusSerie A leaders Juventus will have the opportunity to move six points clear at the top when they take on friendly club Sassuolo, but don’t expect the Neroverdi to roll over for their more illustrious opponents.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s side made it three wins in a row as they hammered AC Milan and they will fancy their chances of putting a dent into Juventus’ title hopes.

Even if this season had a difficult start for the Bianconeri, things quickly fell into place and Max Allegri’s men are now in a position to fight for three major trophies.

In spite of some unexpected slip-ups, Juventus sit three points clear at the top of the standings, while they made it to the Coppa Italia final despite the 3-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the semi-final return leg.

Their Champions League campaign came very close to ending as Bayern Munich were two goals up in the first leg in Turin, but the Bianconeri produced a great comeback to make it 2-2 and keep their hopes alive.

Even though they will be facing the Bavarians on Wednesday, Juventus need to take the Sassuolo game seriously, and they are 2.08 (27/25) for a half-time/full-time win.

Giorgio Chiellini has recovered from injury, but he is unlikely to be risked, whereas Stefano Sturaro should return to the side.

Martin Caceres is the only unavailable footballer at the moment, but Max Allegri could make some changes to the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Buffon – Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Alex Sandro – Cuadrado, Marchisio, Sturaro, Pogba – Morata, Dybala.

Sassuolo have largely impressed ever since they were promoted to the elite division, and they are the perfect proof that shrewd strategy can take you a long way.

The Neroverdi finished the previous campaign in 12th position after ending the season with four straight victories, but they are doing even better this term.

Their latest three-match winning run saw Sassuolo climb to seventh and they now stand a chance of securing European qualification.

The weekend’s 2-0 triumph over high flying AC Milan proved the Neroverdi have the quality to match even the best sides in the league and they can be trusted to make life difficult for Juventus as well.

It has to be noted that Sassuolo won the reverse fixture, while the Bianconeri only managed two goals in last three meetings with Neroverdi.

Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has some selection problems considering that Gregoire Defrel is banned, whereas Paolo Cannavaro, Karim Laribi and Simone Missiroli are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Consigli – Vrsaljko, Antei, Acerbi, Peluso – Biondini, Manganelli, Duncan – Berardi, Falcinelli, Sansone.
