Milan vs InterGameweek 12 in Italian Serie A will be marked by the Derby della Madonnina, with both AC Milan and Inter Milan eager to kick-start their season with a derby win.

There is just one point separating the two sides in the league standings, but neither team is where they want to be at the moment.

AC Milan have shown signs of promise under Pippo Inzaghi and the talented coach seems to enjoy the confidence of club chiefs, but the Rossoneri do not seem ready to mount a serious title challenge just yet.

The San Siro outfit enjoyed a bright start to the season, winning four of first seven league matches, but they have been on a downtrend since.

While losing at home to Palermo, Milan shared spoils with Fiorentina, Cagliari and Sampdoria, so no doubt the fifth win is long overdue.

The Rossoneri will not have an easy task against arch rivals Inter, but they are available at 2.80 (9/5) to return to winning ways.

Ignazio Abate and Nigel de Jong are both rated doubtful for the high-profile clash, while Daniele Bonera misses out through suspension.

Cristian Zapata and Michael Essien are expected to deputize for Bonera and de Jong, whereas Keisuke Honda could be left on the bench having played two games while on international duty.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Lopez – Rami, Zapata, Alex, De Sciglio – Muntari, Essien – Bonaventura, Menez, El Shaarawy – Torres.

Just like their bitter rivals, Inter Milan have struggled to return to old glory days and they have already sacked coach Walter Mazzarri, replacing him with Roberto Mancini.

The former Manchester City boss will have a baptism of fire when the Nerazzurri face AC Milan, but he will need to win these kinds of games if Inter are to challenge for Champions League positions.

The Nerazzurri have been pretty inconsistent this season, and they are winless in last three matches in all competitions, with 2-0 loss at Parma and 2-2 home draw with Hellas Verona the last two results in the league.

Inter fans will be hoping the arrival of Roberto Mancini will provide an instant boost to the side, so bear in mind away win pays 2.80 (9/5).

Important midfielder Gary Medel is banned, while defenders Jonathan and Hugo Campagnaro are out through injury.

Meanwhile, Hernanes and Danilo D’Ambrosio are rated doubtful and are highly unlikely to start on Sunday evening.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Handanovic – Nagatomo, Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, Dodo – Guarin, M’Vila, Obi – Kovacic – Palacio, Icardi.
