Renato Augusto, Walace added to Brazil Olympic squad

Brazil vs ColombiaBrazil coach Rogerio Micale has finalised his 18-man squad for the Men’s Football Tournament at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The final two players to make the cut were Renato Augusto and Walace, coming in for Douglas Costa (injury) and Fred (not released by club).

PSG stopper Marquinhos is also on the roster despite the fact that the Saints had told Brazilian Football Federation they would not be releasing the talented defender.

Brazil squad also have four players on the reserve list, but the names of those footballers were not disclosed.

While Barcelona star Neymar was always going to be one of three overage players in the squad, the other two slots were filled by Beijing Guoan midfielder Renato Augusto and Palmeiras goalkeeper Fernando Prass, who recently turned 38.

Following the disappointing exit from the 2016 Copa America Centenario, the Selecao will be hoping to clinch a major title on home soil and they are priced at 2.00 (1/1) to go all the way.
