PSG vs LilleThe strongest attack in the league will be up against by far the best defence in Ligue 1 when reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain host high-flying Lille at Parc des Princes.

Even before the season started, the Saints were seen as the main candidates for the league trophy and they did well to justify the predictions.

Having picked up 43 points from first 18 matches, they have opened up a two-point lead at the Ligue 1 summit and now have a chance to make it five after title rivals Monaco suffered an unexpected home defeat to Valenciennes.

And while PSG have been pretty impressive on home stage of late, winning six of their last seven matches, chances are they will find it hard to break a team that have conceded mere six goals so far.

It is for that reason that odds of 1.45 (9/20) offered at BetVictor on home win do not look too tempting at all.

In the absence of Edinson Cavani, the hosts will be heavily relying on Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front, with the Swede 1.83 (5/6) to add to his 14 league goals.

The Uruguayan misses out through personal reasons, whereas Christophe Jallet and Maxwell are sidelined through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Sirigu – van der Wiel, Alex, Thiago Silva, Digne – Verratti, Motta, Matuidi – Lucas, Ibrahimovic, Lavezzi.

Lille were predicted a difficult season after staying without boss Rudi Garcia and important players Dimitri Payet, Aurelien Chedjou, Lucas Digne and Florian Thauvin, but new boss Rene Girard has done brilliantly to rebuild the squad in such a short time.

Following several slip-ups in the opening exchanges, les Dogues seriously raised their form and started climbing the Ligue 1 standings, mostly thanks to some unbelievable defensive showings.

Team’s amazing run of 11 straight clean sheets came to an end as Lille were beaten by Bordeaux, but last week’s victory over Bastia saw les Dogues remain just four points behind leaders PSG.

And with Rene Girard’s men very motivated to prove they are serious title contenders, you should know they are 8.50 (15/2) to win at Parc des Princes.

Important players Simon Kjaer and Idrissa Gueye have recovered from injury, but Ryan Mendes and John Jairo Ruiz remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Enyeama – Beria, Kjaer, Basa, Souare – Balmont, Mavuba, Gueye – Martin – Roux, Kalou.
