Cagliari are widely regarded as giant slayers in Italian football and they will be looking to justify the reputation when the play host to Lazio.

The Rossoblu have established themselves as genuine mid table side, and they tend to overachieve season after season, with this campaign no different.

Cagliari sit in sixth place after eight Serie A rounds, having taken 13 points in the process, and they have yet to lose to a top 6 side this term.

The Rossoblu managed to beat Roma at Olimpico while sharing spoils with Udinese and Napoli at home, so no wonder they are just 1.42 (21/50) with Unibet not to lose this game.

Coach Massimo Ficcadenti faces some selection problems before the Lazio clash, with important players Davide Astori and Daniele Conti missing out, and Albin Ekdal is tipped to replace Conti in the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Agazzi – Pisano, Canini, Ariaudo, Agostini – Biondini, Ekdal, Nainggolan – Cossu – Nene, Thiago Ribeiro.

Lazio’s problems at the start to the season were hardly surprising seeing that coach Edy Reja was always going to need some time to get the summer signings fully integrated into the squad.

Following several unexpected slip ups, Lazio managed to raise their form and they had a great chance to climb to the top of the standings with a win over Catania.

However, the Biancocelesti were unable to hold on to a slim lead and ended up taking just one point despite creating a host of clear-cut chances.

Edy Reja’s side are hoping to make amends for the Catania draw by taking all three points from Sant’Elia and they are 3.00 (2/1) with William Hill to succeed in their quest.

Hernanes should start despite carrying an ankle injury, but Djibril Cisse could be given a rest, with Giuseppe Sculli partnering Miroslav Klose up front.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Marchetti – Konko, Stankevicius, Dias, Radu – Brocchi, Ledesma, Lulic – Hernanes- Klose, Sculli.
