Real Sociedad vs AberdeenLa Liga outfit Real Sociedad have been handed a tough draw in the Europa League play-offs as they will be up against red-hot FK Krasnodar of Russia.

La Real were unable to mount a serious top 4 challenge last term, ending the league campaign in seventh position, and they go into the new season with a somewhat changed squad.

Claudio Bravo, Antoine Griezmann and Haris Seferovic are no longer at Anoeta, but the likes of Alfred Finnbogason and Esteban Granero, now fully fit and fully owned by Real Sociedad, are expected to fill their boots.

Jagoba Arrasate’s side did not exactly impress during pre-season, losing to Newcastle and Chelsea, before defeating Eibar, but they did win both games against Aberdeen to set up a clash with FK Krasnodar.

Real Sociedad are no available at 1.85 (17/20) with SkyBet to win the first leg, but they clearly face a difficult task against a team that have already played eight competitive fixtures this term.

Carlos Vela is unlikely to be risked having just recovered from injury, especially with the league clash against Real Madrid on the horizon.

Meanwhile, Alfred Finnbogason, Jon Gaztanaga and Jon Ansotegi are out injured, whilst David Zurutuza is doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Zubikarai – Zaldua, M. Gonzalez, I. Martinez, De La Bella – Pardo, Granero – Bergara, Canales, Prieto – Agirretxe.

Despite playing third division football mere five years ago, FK Krasnodar are on the road to establish themselves as one of top sides in Russia.

Heavy investment in the playing squad paid off big time last term as the club achieved a fifth-placed finish in the league, leaving the likes of Spartak, Rostov, Kuban and Rubin to trail in their wake.

FK Krasnodar in turn managed to recruit some high-quality players, adding Odil Akhmedov, Vladimir Bystrov and Marat Izmailov to their ranks, while Moussa Konate returned from loan at Genoa.

The club enjoyed a stunning start to the season, recording four wins to eliminate Sillamaev Kalev and Diosgyor in Europa League, while picking up eight points from first four league fixtures.

And taking into account they are certainly in much better shape than Real Sociedad at the moment, you should know away win pays 4.50 (7/2).

With no fresh injuries to report, boss Oleg Kononov could field a similar side to the one that defeated Rostov at the weekend.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Sinitsyn – Jedrzejczyk, Sigurdsson, Granqvist, Petrov – Akhmedov, Gazinskiy, Izmailov – Laborde, Ari, Joaozinho.
