Lille vs WolfsburgStruggling Lille will be looking for a morale-boosting win that would see them qualify for the next stage when they host Wolfsburg on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, high-flying Wolves need just one more point to secure their progress and no doubt they are the favourites for a second-place finish.

It’s been several years now since Lille last were far away from the top of Ligue 1 standings, but the reality is les Dogues currently occupy 15th position in the league.

It seems that the busy schedule is finally getting to them, with Rene Girard’s charges going through a very rough patch at the moment.

Lille have failed to win any of their last 12 fixtures in all competitions, although they have shown some improvement of late, holding PSG to a 1-1 draw before bringing one point from Lens.

And it would appear as though one win is all they need to turn this season around, with les Dogues 3.30 (23/10) to see off Wolfsburg and qualify for the Europa League knockout stages.

There have been some mixed news on injury front for under-fire coach Rene Girard, who will be delighted to welcome back important players Marko Basa and Florent Balmont to the side.

However, talented footballer Marcos Lopes remains on the sidelines and he has been joined by Marvin Martin and Franck Beria, who suffered injuries at the weekend.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Enyeama – Corchia, Basa, Kjaer, Souare – Balmont, Mavuba, Gueye – Origi, Roux, Rodelin.

Wolfsburg have been on a steady rise over the last couple of years and the team appear to be finally playing to their potential.

The Wolves have been absolutely brilliant on domestic stage, climbing to second in the Bundesliga standings, and they already hold a six-point advantage over their top 4 rivals.

Meanwhile, Wolfsburg had a poor start to the Europa League campaign, losing 4-1 at Goodison Park, but they have shown a great deal of improvement since.

The Wolves then failed to beat Lille at home, but back to back wins over FK Krasnodar mean they go into the final group game three points clear of their next opponents.

And seeing as how they only need one point to make it through, it is important to note that draw pays 3.50 (5.2) with bet365.

Boss Dieter Hecking has no fresh injury worries and he is widely expected to field a very strong side at Grand Stade Lille Metropole.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Benaglio – Jung, Naldo, Knoche, Rodriguez – Gustavo, Guilavogui – Arnold, de Bruyne, Perisic – Olic.
