Moyes

Monday night’s Premier League action comes from the Stadium of Light where Sunderland take on Everton.

David Moyes has endured a tough start to life with the Black Cats, taking just one point from their opening three games – a run that sees them sitting second from bottom in the division.

Victory here will see them move out of the relegation zone while only a defeat of six or more goals will see them slip beneath basement club Stoke City in the table.

Moyes could hand debuts to new signings Mika Domingues and Jason Denayer though Didier Ndong and former Toffee Victor Anichebe won’t feature though John O’Shea, Jan Kirchoff and Jordan Pickford are all available for selection.

Jermaine Defoe can be backed at 8.0 (7/1) to open the scoring with William Hill with Duncan Watmore a 12.0 (11/1) shot with the same firm.

The home win is 3.75 (11/4) with a variety of firms with the visitors favourites at 2.2 (6/5). The draw cam be backed at 3.5 (5/2) with Sky Bet.

Unlike his opponent, Ronald Koeman has excelled in his first month in charge of his new club guiding them to two wins and a draw so far.

Victory here will see them move level on points with second place Chelsea, two points behind the culb with the only remaining 100 percent record in the league – Manchester City.

Enner Valencia could make his first appearance since signing from West Ham United while there could be recalls for Seamus Coleman, Darron Gibson and Tom Cleverley though James McCarthy misses out after undergoing groin surgery.

Romelu Lukaku is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 6.5 (11/2) with William Hill while Valencia is widely available at7.5 (13/2).

Both of last season’s meetings between the sides ended in home wins with the clash in the North East back in May ending 3-0 while it was a 6-2 romp for the hosts at Goodison Park last November.

However, with the sides in such contrasting form you may fancy backing an away win with both teams scoring at 4.5 (7/2) with a variety of companies.
