Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig have reportedly had a bid rejected for Everton winger Ademola Lookman.

According to The Mirror, Leipzig have had an offer in the region of £12m turned down for their former winger, with the Toffees not keen to sell.

Formerly of Charlton Athletic, the 20-year-old spent the second-half of last season on-loan with the Red Bulls and had a relatively successful time in Germany having netted five goals and provided four assists in 11 appearances.

However, it now appears that he will not be returning to the Red Bull Arena with Leipzig’s bid being knocked-back by Marco Silva.

Lookman arrived at Goodison Park in 2017 from Charlton in a deal reported to be worth £10m. He has found opportunities hard to come by on Merseyside and has only made 24 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals. He did manage to score on his Premier League debut in a 4-0 win over Manchester City.

As recent as May 2018, Lookman could have been backed at 4/1 with BetVictor to sign for Bristol City before the end of the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, in a surprising move, his current club, Everton, have odds of 25/1 to sign Manchester United star Anthony Martial this summer with the same bookmakers.
