Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has announced that he would be retiring from international football.
The 31-year-old decided to retire from international duty after representing Germany at the Euro 2016, where Die Mannschaft crashed out in the semi-finals.
Schweinsteiger appears determined to focus on club football as he faces an uphill battle to secure a regular starting berth at Manchester United.
The experienced footballer made a total os 120 appearances for the national team, scoring 24 goals, taking part at no fewer than seven major competitions.
After 13 years and 500 outings for Bayern Munich, Schweinsteiger moved to Manchester United last summer, making 18 Premier League appearances in his debut season.
The highly rated footballer announced his decision earlier today and he will soon reveal reasons for his decision.
