Croatia vs MexicoFollowing the 4-0 triumph over Cameroon, Croatia’s fate is in their own hands as any win over Mexico would secure qualification.

Meanwhile, El Tri are buoyed by the goalless draw with Brazil that ensured they only need one point from the final group fixture to go through.

Despite reaching the tournament finals through the play-offs, Croatia went into the 2014 World Cup in confident mood and that told in their opening fixture against the Seleccao.

Vatreni took the lead through Marcelo own goal and created few more good chances to score, but ultimately had to settle for a 3-1 loss.

As expected, Croatia impressed in the second fixture, hammering Cameroon 4-0 to keep their qualifying hopes alive, but Mexico’s draw with Brazil made things more difficult for them.

With that in mind, Vatreni now need a win over El Tri to make it to the knockout stages, and they are 2.55 (14/9) to succeed in their quest.

After scoring a brace in his first ever World Cup appearance, Mario Mandzukic is available at 3.10 (21/10) to score at any time.

Coach Niko Kovac will have fully fit squad to choose from as Luka Modric and Ivica Olic have recovered from minor knocks, while Mateo Kovacic should come in for Sammir.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Pletikosa – Srna, Corluka, Lovren, Pranjic – Modric, Rakitic – Perisic, Kovacic, Olic – Mandzukic.

The national team were going through a very rough patch when Miguel Herrera took over the reigns back in October, but he has since done brilliantly to get El Tri back where they belong.

El Piojo quickly created a very homogeneous unit deprived of any star players and his approach has already produced great results.

A very strong performance in the opening game against Cameroon saw El Tri record a 1-0 win despite having two goals wrongfully disallowed, before a brave display against hosts Brazil earned them another point.

Mexico now need just one point to secure qualification, but they will certainly try and record a victory instead, with away win paying 3.00 (2/1).

With no fresh injuries to report, Miguel Herrera is set to field an unchanged starting line-up, as he even confirmed via his official Twitter account.

His 5-3-2 formation has worked like a charm in the first two matches, with captain Rafa Marquez acting as an extra holding midfielder in the attacking phase.

Probable starting line-up (5-3-2): Ochoa – Aguilar, Rodriguez, Marquez, Moreno, Layun – Herrera, Vazquez, Guardado – Peralta, Dos Santos.
