Udinese missed a great chance to create an advantage before the return leg having completely outclassed their more illustrious opponents, but the Zebrette are still in with a shot of the Champions League group stages.

Following the impressive Serie A campaign that saw Udinese achieve forth-place finish despite the fierce competition from a number of Italian giants, the Friulani were handed a really tough Champions League qualifying draw.

Many people doubted their chances in this clash taking into account the departure of key player Alexis Sanchez, but Francesco Guidolin’s side largely impressed at the Emirates and were incredibly unlucky not to have gotten something from the game.

Udinese did concede at the start of the game but then went on to create a host of clear-cut chances, showing that they can do more than just match mighty Arsenal.

Considering all the problems the Gunners have at the moment and the form Udinese are in, odds of 2.38 (11/8) offered on home win by Victor Chandler do look tempting.

With no fresh injuries to report, Francesco Guidolin should field the same side that started the match at the Emirates, meaning that full-backs Isla and Armero are set to act as wingers once again.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Handanovic – Ekstrand, Benatia, Danilo, Neuton – Agyemang Badu – Isla, Asamoah, Pinzi, Armero – Di Natale.

Arsenal found themselves in all sorts of problems at the start of the season and the Gunners now face a tough task at Friuli.

The situation with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri has had a negative effect on the dressing room atmosphere, while Arsene Wenger’s inability to attract world-class players saw him gain even more enemies among the fans.

Once again, the Frenchman has faced numerous selection problems at the very start of the season, and taking all this into account, their disappointing start doesn’t look too surprising.

Disappointing showings against Udinese and Liverpool have seen the players lose their confidence before what could easily be a key match of the season, so Arsenal definitely cannot be trusted at odds of 1.36 (9/25) offered by Betfair on the Gunners to qualify.

Arsene Wenger is banned for this match, meaning that he will not be in the dugout, but the Professor will have Song and Gervinho back from domestic bans.

Jack Wilshire could feature after resuming training on Thursday, but Squilacci, Koscielny and Gibbs are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Szczesny – Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Traore – Ramsey, Song, Wilshire – Walcott, Van Persie, Gervinho.
