Nacionalna Arena Filip II Makedonski in Skopje will host the UEFA Super Cup clash between Champions League winners Real Madrid and Europa League champions Manchester United.

Considering that both sides will want to prove their worth ahead of the start of new season, we should be in for a great game of football.

Real Madrid have done really well since Zinedine Zidane took over the reigns, and last season was especially a resounding success.

Los Blancos pulled off a major coup by claiming Champions League and La Liga trophies, capping off a very successful year with a 4-1 triumph over Juventus.

The squad have since suffered some changes, as Alvaro Morata and Danilo left, while Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos joined, but the balance of the team was not impaired.

While Real Madrid failed to impress in pre-season, suffering defeats to Manchester City and Barcelona, they are slowly raising their form and should be ready for competitive fixtures that start coming thick and fast.

After the UEFA Super Cup, los Blancos will take Barcelona in Spanish Super Cup, so they will want to start the new season properly.

With that in mind, you should know that Real Madrid are available at 2.00 (1/1) to defeat Manchester United in regular time.

Considering that Cristiano Ronaldo resumed training with the squad, Zinedine Zidane should have all his players available for selection.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Navas – Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo – Modric, Casemiro, Kroos – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Manchester United have clearly made progress under Jose Mourinho and the Old Trafford faithful believe the team will mount a serious title challenge in the Premiership this term.

The Portuguese manager did well to further reinforce his ranks with Lukaku, Matic and Lindelof, and his side looked pretty good in pre-season.

The Red Devils now have bigger strength in depth and they might just be able to cope with the busy schedule that awaits them.

Having used a 3-5-2 formation in the final warm-up game against Sampdoria, Jose Mourinho could field a three-man back line against Real Madrid as well.

Key centre-back Eric Bailly misses out through suspension, but Phil Jones should play as the club have appealed against his ban.

New recruits Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Nilsson Lindelof are all expected to start against Real Madrid in Skopje.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-1-2): De Gea – Lindelof, Smalling, Jones – Valencia, Herrera, Matic, Darmian – Pogba – Lukaku, Mkhitaryan.
