Real Madrid squandered a one-goal lead at Gerland and with the first leg ending 1:1, both sides now stand a chance of making it to the quarter-finals.

Los Blancos had another slip up right after the Lyon game as they failed to beat Deportivo, but they then won three games in a row, thus creating a great setting before the return leg against les Gones.

Cristiano Ronaldo sat out last two games in order to fully recover from injury and he is now set to return to the starting line-up against Lyon. The Portuguese is 1.70 (7/10) at Victor Chandler to score in this game.

Karim Benzema is likely to keep his place in the side after scoring six goals in last three games and he is 1.91 (10/11) to score against his former club.

Ricardo Carvalho and Pedro Leon could return to contention, but Gago, Kaka and Higuain remain long-term casualties.

Lyon played pretty well in the first leg and les Gones managed to earn a draw after coming from a goal behind, meaning they are still very much in this game.

Claude Puel’s side improved their league position by picking up seven points from last three games, with convincing wins over Arles and Sochaux acting as a real confidence boost before the Real game.

The visitors will be without Michel Bastos as he is suspended, but Lisandro Lopez returns after missing the first leg through injury. Aly Cissokho should start despite missing the Sochaux game through injury.

Real are seen as hot favourites in this clash, with William Hill paying 1.20 (1/5) on Real Madrid to qualify, while Lyon are 5.80 (24/5) to go through at Betfair.
