Panathinaikos missed a great chance to create an advantage before the return leg as they conceded the equalizer in the dying moments of the match, but the Greek giants remain in the driving seat.

PAO have experienced big problems in off-season as club’s decision to cut down spending meant that Djibril Cisse, Gilberto Silva, Sidney Govou and Luis Garcia would leave the club.

Coach Jesualdo Ferreira did sign some decent players in Zeca, Quincy, Toche and Vitolo, but there are no doubts that PAO are weaker than last season.

Following some very poor showings in pre-season, Panathinaikos managed to play a good game in Denmark, having earned a 1:1 draw and they are now 1.67 (2/3) with 888Sport to win the return leg in Greece.

New signings Quincy, Toche and Vitolo are closing in on full fitness and they will be in contention for this game, although we are unlikely to see big changes to the team that started the first leg.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Tzorvas – Vyntra, Boumsong, Sarriegi, Spiropoulos – Simao, Katsouranis – Marinos, Ninis, Leto – Petropoulos.

Odense entered the first leg in better fitness levels than their opponents as their domestic season had already started, but the Danes failed to show that on the pitch and could only dominate the proceedings in the first half of the game.

In the end, they were lucky not to lose as Tore Reginiussen scored the equalizer late into the game, so they now clearly face a tough task in Greece.

The only good thing is that OB clearly have a lot of room for improvement and if they manage to raise their game, the Danes will have a good chance against also struggling PAO.

Odense are priced 4.00 (3/1) with Betfair to make it to the next stage, which is not too bad considering that the Danes would be through even with a high-scoring draw.

Meanwhile, Henrik Clausen’s side have squandered a two-goal advantage to share spoils with Arghus at the weekend, so it is no wonder that some fans are already calling for Clausen to resign.

Former Bolton and PSG full-back Bernard Mendy and Rurik Gislason, who picked up injuries against PAO, were rested at the weekend and they are likely to return into contention.

Kalilou Traore returned into action after recovering from injury, but he is again set to start from the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-3-2): Wessels – Ruud, Moller-Christensen, Reginiussen, Mendy – Sorensen – Johansson, Andreasen, Kadrii – Utaka, Jensen.
