Neither Valencia nor Celta Vigo have succeeded in living up to the billing these term and they will use the final 9-10 games to try and improve their league position.

Los Che made another important step towards La Liga survival as they defeated Deportivo La Coruna and will now be looking for more of the same.

Valencia have had their share of problems this season, even sitting in the danger zone at times, but it appears their top flight status is no longer in danger.

Los Che have shown a great deal of improvement since loyal club soldier Voro took over the reigns, creating an 11-point advantage over the bottom three.

The difficult fixture list that saw Valencia lose to Atletico Madrid and Barcelona is finally over, and the 3-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna will have seriously improved the players’ confidence.

As a result, los Che can now be backed at 2.10 (11/10) to see off Celta Vigo, but that will be no easy task considering the Sky Blues are going through a good moment as well.

The win over La Coruna came at a cost as full-back Jose Luis Gaya picked up a muscle injury that will see him miss around three weeks of action.

The good news is Eliaquim Mangala returns from suspension, but now Martin Montoya is banned and Nani, Rodrigo and Mario Suarez are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Diego Alves – Cancelo, Garay, Abdennour, Siqueira – Parejo, Perez – Munir, Soler, Orellana – Zaza.

Celta Vigo haven’t exactly impressed this season, but the Galician club appear to be on the road to secure fourth straight top 10 finish.

That is clearly a very good achievement for a club that used to bounce back and forth between the top two divisions of Spain’s league system.

Celta experienced some problems this term, mostly due to a busy schedule, but they are now doing well in all the competitions entered.

The Sky Blues have got an excellent chance to reach the Europa League semis as they play Genk in the next stage, while they are also back in the top half of La Liga.

Back to back wins over Deportivo La Coruna and Las Palmas helped Celta climb back to 10th position in the overall standings, with Giuseppe Rossi’s hat-trick definitely the highlight of weekend’s win over Las Palmas.

The Italian should keep his place up front due to John Guidetti’s injury, while Alvaro Lemos, Ruben Blanco, Marcelo Diaz and Carles Planas are sidelined as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alvarez – Roncaglia, Cabral, Fontas, Jonny – Wass, Radoja – Aspas, Jozabed, Sisto – Rossi.
