Atletico Madrid vs ValenciaThe two sides were battling each other for a top 4 place just a couple of years ago, but with Atletico already sitting 20 points clear of Valencia in the La Liga standings, it is perfectly clear who the favourites are at Vicente Calderon.

Diego Simeone continues to work wonders with los Colchoneros, who are impressing in all the competitions entered, but their league campaign remains the priority.

Atletico Madrid have done brilliantly to keep up with mighty Barcelona having finally caught up with them after the Catalans lost in Bilbao.

As a result, los Colchoneros sit tied on points with the La Liga leaders and are expected to keep their 100% record at home intact when they host Valencia.

Having done so well at their Vicente Calderon this season, Atletico are just 1.40 (2/5) to make it eight on the bounce.

With Diego Costa extending his amazing scoring run in midweek’s match against Porto, the Spain international is 1.80 (4/5) to score anytime.

Diego Simeone will have Thibaut Courtois and Cristian Rodriguez back to the side, but Mario Suarez and Joshua Guilavogui remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Courtois – Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Filipe Luis – Koke, Tiago, Gabi, Turan – Villa, Costa.

And while Atletico have been on the constant rise over the last couple of years, Valencia are experiencing all sorts of problems at the moment.

With the club in serious debt, they were unable to sign proper replacements for key players who left in the summer, while new boss Miroslav Djukic has also failed to prove his worth at Mestalla.

This has seen los Che struggle on all fronts this season and the team currently sit in ninth position in the La Liga standings.

While Valencia are showing glimpses of quality, they are still incredibly inconsistent, and certainly don’t look they can frustrate red-hot Atletico Madrid.

Even so, with an open game expected at Vicente Calderon, you should know both teams to score bet is available at 1.80 (4/5).

Important defender Ricardo Costa has been ruled out with a hamstring problem, but Vicente Guaita is back in contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alves – Pereira, Ruiz, Mathieu, Bernat – Romeu, Parejo – Feghouli, Canales, Guardado – Jonas.
