Udinese vs Inter 0-3After the 3-0 loss to Fiorentina ended Udinese’s three-match winning run, the Zebrette could now face a tough task against the Serie A leaders.

Yet another 1-0 triumph proved sufficient for Inter Milan to remain at the league summit and they now hope to take advantage of the opponents’ huge selection problems.

Udinese have been on a major downtrend of late as the team no longer appear capable of matching Italy’s top sides, and this probably have something to do with the fact that club legend Antonio Di Natale is no longer scoring goals for fun.

One of Serie A’s best ever strikers is now 38 and having scored just one league goal this season, it would appear that he is finally past his prime.

And while the Zebrette currently sit four points above the bottom three, they should be able to survive the drop, although the latest injury crisis is creating plenty of problems for coach Stefano Colantuono.

Udinese had impressed to record straight wins over Sampdoria, Chievo and Atalanta (Coppa Italia), but the 3-0 defeat at Artemio Franchi acted as a major blow to their confidence.

The Zebrette now have starting centre-backs Danilo and Felipe banned for the Inter game, whilst important players Alexander Merkel, Duvan Zapata, Panagiotis Kone and Thomas Heurtaux are all out injured.

And with Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Molla Wague rated doubtful, it is clear that the Friulani face an uphill task.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Karnezis – Wague, Domizzi, Piris – Widmer, Fernandes, Lodi, Iturra, Edenilson – Di Natale, Thereau.

Inter Milan have not exactly been firing on all cylinders this season, but they have become experts in grinding out wins and this is the main reason why the Nerazzurri currently sit top of the league.

Roberto Mancini’s side recorded a total of 10 wins in 15 Serie A games, and only one of those wins was not achieved by the narrowest of margins.

And with Inter Milan winning eight of these games by scoring a single goal, bear in mind that another 1-0 win pays 7.50 (13/2).

The Nerazzurri recovered well from the derby defeat to Napoli to see off Genoa last time out, and they have a very good chance to record their fifth away win of the season.

Roberto Mancini is ready to welcome Geoffrey Kondogbia back to the side, with Felipe Melo also ready for the Udinese game.

Meanwhile, Danilo D’Ambrosio misses out through suspension, whereas fellow defenders Nemanja Vidic and Davide Santon are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Handanovic – Nagatomo, Miranda, Murillo, Telles – Brozovic, Medel – Biabiany, Jovetic, Ljajic – Icardi.
