Udinese vs FiorentinaUdinese are hoping to continue where they left off before the winter break having defeated Livorno on the road, but high-flying Hellas Verona could prove a difficult nut to crack.

This season is not going according to plan for Zebrette, who currently sit mere six points above the relegation zone, but there is still plenty of time to turn things around.

Oddly enough, Udinese largely impressed against Italy’s top sides, producing three stunning performances in a row against Fiorentina, Juventus and Napoli, but they continue to struggle when playing bottom table teams.

Francesco Guidolin will be hoping a rare away victory against relegation-threatened Livorno, achieved just before the winter break, will be the turning point of the season, but his side need to validate that result against in-form Verona.

And even with Udinese losing three of last four home matches, Friulani have been made 1.85 (17/20) favourites to defeat the newly-promoted side.

Francesco Guidolin has doubts over the fitness of Maurizio Domizzi and Andrea Lazzari, whereas Luis Muriel is still a week away from making a comeback.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-2-1): Brkic – Heurtaux, Danilo, Domizzi, Silva – Basta, Allan, Pinzi – Pereyra, Lopez – Di Natale.

The Giallorossi are without a doubt the biggest surprise package of the season as the team that were supposed to fight for their lives currently occupy sixth place in the standings.

And with Serie A survival virtually secured, Andrea Mandorlini’s men can now play without any pressure and try to keep their place in the top half of the standings.

Verona did suffer a small dip in form at the start of December, but they ended the first part of the season in style, beating Atalanta and Lazio at home, while bringing one point from Catania.

The Giallorossi now hope to continue the good run against Udinese and are priced at 2.02 (51/50) with Unibet not to lose at Friuli.

Midfielder Ezequiel Cirigliano is doubtful with a bout of flu, but Juan Manuel Iturbe and Matteo Rubin should be fit to play.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Rafael – Cacciatore, Maietta, Moras, Agostini – Romulo, Jorginho, Hallfredsson – Iturbe, Toni, Gomez Taleb.
