Round 14 of Italian Serie A kicks off with highly anticipated Derby di Sicilia, which will see struggling Palermo take on high-flying Catania.

Citta di Palermo have gone from relegation strugglers to top table side and back in just a couple of years, and the reality is they now face a difficult survival battle.

Following the dismal start to the league campaign, the Rosanero have shown some improvement under Gian Piero Gasperini, having picked up 10 points from last 8 games.

While taking just two points from seven away games, Palermo won two and drew three of their last five fixtures at Renzo Barbera, which can give them some reason for optimism before the visit of their bitter rivals.

After beating Sampdoria in their last home game, the Rosanero are 2.50 (3/2) with Sportingbet to make it two in a row.

That could prove to be a difficult task now that Samir Ujkani, Edgar Barreto and Carlos Labrin are all suspended.

On top of that, Gian Piero Gasperini is still without Abel Hernandez and Andrea Mantovani, as they are both out through knee injury.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-3): Benussi – Munoz, Donati, Von Bergen – Morganella, Kurtic, Rios, Santiago Garcia – Ilicic, Miccoli, Brienza.

Catania go into this game high on confidence, having climbed to 7th in Serie A standings with a 2-1 win over Chievo.

The Elephants thus proved they are rightly considered one of the strongest home sides in the top flight, but their showings on the road still leave a lot to be desired.

After losing three straight away games, failing to score a single goal in the process, Catania managed to bring points from both Udine and Cagliari, so they now hope to avoid defeat in third successive away fixture.

Taking this into account as well as Palermo’s poor form, odds of 2.15 (23/20) offered at BetVictor on Catania Draw no bet do look tempting.

Gonzalo Bergessio remains doubtful with a calf problem, but Marco Biagianti is definitely out. Keko, Sciacca and Augustyn remain long-term worries.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Andujar – Alvarez, Legrottaglie, Spolli, Marchese – Izco, Lodi, Almiron – Barrientos, Bergessio, Gomez.
