Lazio vs FiorentinaLast year’s top 3 rivals Lazio and Fiorentina are again hoping to clinch the final Champions League berth and the match at Stadio Olimpico is likely to show us which of the two sides are closer to fulfilling pre-season ambitions.

This season didn’t have the best of starts for the Biancocelesti as they lost to Juventus twice, conceding eight goals in the process, while also losing the Derby della Capitale to Roma.

Meanwhile, they have done pretty well in their home fixtures, recording four straight victories, and it appears the team are on an uptrend at the moment.

Lazio missed a chance to improve on their away record as they squandered a two-goal lead to share spoils with Sassuolo, but they then did well to come from two goals down in the Europa League clash with Trabzonspor.

With a number of regular starters set to be recalled and the Biancocelesti finally returning to home comforts, you should know they are 2.45 (29/20) with BetVictor to return to winning ways.

Vladimir Petkovic is expected to make some changes to the side that shared spoils with Trabzonspor, but he does not have too many options to pick from.

Captain Stefano Mauri remain banned, whilst Stefan Radu, Giuseppe Biava, Diego Novaretti, Miroslav Klose, Abdoulay Konko, Bruno Pereirinha and Etrit Berisha are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Marchetti – Cavanda, Ciani, Dias, Lulic – Ledesma – Gonzalez, Biglia, Hernanes, Candreva – Floccari.

Fiorentina were in excellent position this summer as they further reinforced the squad that had narrowly missed out on a top 3 finish in Serie A last term.

Viola indeed started strongly, with striker Giuseppe Rossi especially impressive following his return from a lengthy injury lay-off.

However, injury to summer signing Mario Gomez came at the worst possible time, just as the two players were starting to form a lethal partnership.

This has seen Fiorentina suffer slip ups against Inter and Parma, but Europa League victory over Dnipro could suggest they are slowly returning to the right track.

With Viola winning four of five away fixtures this season, there may be value in 3.10 (21/10) odds for away win at bet365.

The visitors, too, have some injury problems seeing that Giuseppe Rossi is doubtful with a muscle problem and Mario Gomez, Manuel Pasqual, Ante Rebic, Ahmed Hegazy and Oleksandr Iakovenko are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Neto – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Savic – Cuardado, Aquilani, Pizarro, Valero, Vargas – Fernandez – Joaquin.
