Hernanes could return for Napoli clash

Hernanes LazioLazio playmaker Hernanes has resumed light training on Tuesday, hinting that he might be in contention for the high-profile clash with Napoli.

The 27-year-old suffered a head trauma in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus last Tuesday and was expected to spend a month on the sidelines.

He has, however, resumed training well ahead of schedule and is now in line to return to the side for the crunch tie against Napoli.

Hernanes will undergo an MRI scan later today and if all goes well he will probably be in contention for the Saturday’s match.

The highly rated midfielder has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 8 goals and producing 3 assists in 21 Serie A appearances.

The Brazilian’s potential return would be a huge boost for the Biancocelesti, after it was revealed star striker Miroslav Klose would miss next two months due to a knee injury.

Despite losing their last two league fixtures, Lazio remain three points clear of their top 3 rivals, and they are now 3.15 (43/20) with Betfair to achieve a top 3 finish.
