Struggling Genoa desperately need a win to escape from the danger zone, whereas Fiorentina hope to continue the good run of results and edge closer to Europa League places.

The Stadio Luigi Ferraris outfit have experienced far too many problems this season and we have yet to see if the change of coaching personnel will bring any improvement.

Boss Luigi De Canio was sacked after Genoa squandered a two-goal lead against Roma to lose the tie 4-2, with experienced Luigi Del Neri brought to replace him.

The Rossoblu couldn’t escape defeat to Milan at the weekend, but the former Juventus boss was happy with team’s defensive showing and he expects his players to build on the promising performance at San Siro.

Beating in-form Fiorentina will be no easy task, but taking into account that Viola have yet to win away, odds of 3.40 (12/5) offered at BetVictor on home win could be worth a shot.

Luigi Del Neri faces a genuine selection headache, with Marco Borriello, Bosko Jankovic, Marco Rossi, Damiano Feronetti and Juan Manuel Vargas all sidelined through injury.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Frey – Bovo, Granqvist, Canini – Sampirisi, Seymour, Tozser, Kucka, Antonelli – Jorquera – Immobile.

Fiorentina have hit the ground running early on this season, but their results were not always in accordance with the impressive showings.

The team have, however, slowly start climbing the Serie A standings and they now occupy one of the two Europa League places.

Viola proved their Artemio Franchi is becoming a real fortress by beating Lazio at the weekend, but their showings in the travels will have to improve if the team are to realize their full potential.

In all fairness, Fiorentina looked pretty good on the travels, but could only bring two points from four away games, making this a perfect opportunity to record the first triumph on the road.

Taking this into account as well as Genoa’s selection problems, odds of 2.40 (7/5) offered at Stan James on away win do look tempting.

Key players David Pizarro and Facundo Roncaglia are back from suspension, while Juan Cuadrado and Nenad Tomovic could be rested.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Viviano – Roncaglia, Rodriguez, Savic – Cassani, Valero, Pizarro, Migliaccio, Pasqual – Jovetic, Ljajic.
