Direct competitors for the third place in the standings are set to face each other in what should be a great game at Mestalla.

Valencia returned to third place as they beat Getafe away and los Che thus ended the three-match losing run that had threatened to ruin their season.

Unai Emery’s side will now be aiming to rediscover their home form after picking up just two points form last four home games, although Villarreal are certainly a team that can cause the hosts all sorts of problems.

David Navarro and David Albelda resumed full training after recovering from minor knocks and they should be fit to play, just like Jeremy Mathieu and keeper Guaita.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Guaita – Bruno, R. Costa, Dealbert, Mathieu – A. Costa, Topal – Hernandez, Jonas, Mata – Soldado.

Villarreal came one step closer to realizing their European title dream as they hammered Twente 5:1 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, but it is now back to home comforts for the Yellow Submarine.

Juan Carlos Garrido’s side slipped from the third place in the standings as they lost at home to Barcelona, but they now have an excellent chance to get one over their rival for the place in the Champions League group stages.

Having shown a lot of attacking potential lately, Villarreal should be able to score at Mestalla and with Valencia likely to do the same, you should know that both teams to score pays 1.80 (4/5) at Victor Chandler.

Villarreal have suffered a big blow in midweek with key defender Gonzalo Rodriguez breaking his fibula against Twente, but he is not the only absentee at the moment. Others include Marcos Senna, Angel Lopez and Xavi Oliva.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Diego Lopez – Catala, Musacchio, Marchena, Capdevilla – Cazorla, Borja Valero, Bruno, Cani – Nilmar, Rossi.
