Stade Louis II in Monaco will welcome European giants Barcelona and Porto as they battle for the UEFA Super Cup.

With La Liga campaign yet to start, Barcelona have a chance to win their second trophy this season, after beating Real to the Spanish Super Cup.

The Catalans continued with impressive performances as they hammered Napoli 5:0 at the Joan Gamper trophy even though Pep Guardiola had used the game to give his youngsters a chance to shine.

Barcelona seem to have already hit the ground running and the odds of 1.40 (2/5) offered on home win by 888Sport reflect their superiority.

Gerard Pique has picked up a calf injury and will be out for three weeks, while Carles Puyol and Ibrahim Afellay also miss out.

The good news is that Alexis Sanchez and Maxwell have resumed full training and they will be in contention for the starting places.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Valdes – Dani Alves, Busquets, Mascherano, Abidal – Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta – Pedro, Messi, Villa.

Porto have been really amazing last season under the tutelage of Andre Villas-Boas new boss Vitor Pereira faces a really tough task this season.

Once again, the club managed to cash in on their star players, with Falcao and Ruben Micael joining Atletico Madrid for the combined fee of €45 million, but the Dragons used the money wisely, buying six new players and still managed to leave some of the cash on the side.

Juan Manuel Iturbe, Kelvin, Kleber, Steven Defour, Eliaquim Mangala and Alex Sandro all arrived, so there are no doubts that Porto will have a big role to play in Europe this season.

The game against mighty Barca may be coming at a bad time as coach Pereira hasn’t had enough time to make the new players gel, but we can still expect a strong performance from the team that won all three competitive games this season.

Now that Falcao has left the club, it is Hulk who will have to make sure the goals keep coming in, and after scoring 3 goals in 2 league games, the Brazilian is 4.50 (7/2) with William Hill to score against Barca as well.

Emidio Rafael and new signing Alex Sandro are out of contention, but Cristian Rodriguez returns from injury and he is pushing for a starting place.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Helton – Sapunaru, Rolando, Otamendi, Fucile – Moutinho, Souza, Guarin – Varela, Hulk, Kleber.
