Toulouse vs MarseilleHaving slipped to Ligue 1 relegation zone, Toulouse are in desperate need of morale-boosting victory, although same can be said of Marseille, who are winless in four matches and go into the game on the back of a 3-2 home defeat to Caen, where they squandered a two-goal lead.

One of France’s most famous clubs are in serious danger of getting relegated, and the alarm bells are already on at Stade Municipal.

Toulouse did show some improvement of late, but they currently sit two points adrift of safety and need to record a string of good results in order to turn this season around.

Le Tefece have seriously improved their home form recently, defeating Reims and Rennes before sharing spoils with Saint Etienne, but their dismal performances on the road remain a major issue.

Toulouse have now lost six straight away fixtures in all competitions, so they will be glad to face Marseille at their Stade Municipal.

Alain Casanova’s charges will be looking to take advantage of the opposition’s poor form, with home win paying 3.25 (9/4).

The hosts have some important missings given that Abel Aguilar is suspended, while Ali Ahamada and Etienne Didiot are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Boucher – Akpro, Spajic, Kana-Biyik, Moubandje – Trejo, Grigore, Doumbia, Regattin – Ben Yedder, Pesic.

Despite turning average Marseille side into genuine title contenders, coach Marcelo Bielsa has been the subject of a lot of criticism of late.

In all fairness, OM have only won two of last eight league fixtures, but the good news is they are still within a touching distance of title rivals Lyon and PSG.

Marcelo Bielsa accepted the blame for the unexpected home loss to Caen, with his side not only failing to kill of the game at 2-0, but ended up losing the match 3-2 as they conceded three goals in the space of twenty minutes.

With home game against Lyon scheduled for next weekend, Marseille are eager to return to winning ways against Toulouse and they can be backed at 2.50 (3/2) to claim maximum points.

The visitors face serious defensive problems given that Nicolas K’Koulou is injured and the likes of Brice Dja Djedje and Rod Fanni are banned.

Ahmed Barrada remains on the sidelines, while top scorer Andre-Pierre Gignac should be recalled to the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Mandanda – Aloe, Romao, Morel, Mendy – Imbula – Ocampos, Payet, Ayew, Thauvin – Gignac.
