Spartak Moscow staged an amazing comeback in Switzerland as they managed to win the game 3:2 despite trailing two goals at half-time and the Myaso now have an excellent chance to make it to the next round.

Valeri Karpin’s side are still few weeks away from the start of domestic season, but they already look prepared for the competitive action, as witnessed by their performance in Basel.

The team returned to Moscow two days ago following the third training camp and everybody is delighted that there is the air of confidence before the Basel game.

Even with Welliton, Ibson, Kudryashov, Mahmoud and Valikaev unavailable at the moment, Spartak look more than capable of winning this game, with odds on home win 1.95 (19/20) at Betfair.

Basel missed a great chance to record a valuable win in the first leg as they somehow managed to squander a two-goal lead and they now face an uphill task in Moscow.

Boss Thorsten Fink is aware his side have nothing to lose and the Swiss team are expected to attack from the off.

Xherdan Shaqiri is suspended after picking up a red card in the first leg, while Benjamin Huggel and Marco Streller are out with injuries. David Abraham remains an injury worry.
