Ligue 1 leaders PSG will be aiming to further increase their advantage over their title rivals when they take on Bastia, a team that sit well above the bottom three in spite of taking just one point from last three matches.

Despite the heavy summer spending, Paris Saint-Germain largely struggled to prove their worth in the opening exchanges and they just could not break away from title rivals Lyon and Marseille.

With both Lyon and Marseille losing their weekend’s games, PSG moved three points clear thanks to an impressive win over Toulouse and they now aim to further cement the first place in the standings.

Defender Alex and Siaka Tiene are back in contention, but Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta are not yet ready to return.
