Norway are the surprise leaders of Group H after four rounds of action, and sitting three points clear of second-placed Portugal, they can make a big step towards automatic qualification by taking at least one point from this clash.

Paolo Bento’s side had a really slow start to the Euro 2012 qualifiers, having played a 4:4 draw at home to Cyprus before losing in Norway and those results could end up costing them a chance to fight for the top spot in Group H.

Nonetheless, Portugal now have a great opportunity to not only get revenge on Norway but also climb to the first place in the group, so there are no doubts the hosts will give their best to win this game.

First star of the team Cristiano Ronaldo returns after missing the last two friendly games and considering the Real Madrid forward has scored 53 goals at club level this season, you might want to consider backing Ronaldo to score at 1.67 (2/3) offered by Paddy Power.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Patricio – Pereira, Carvalho, Rolando, Coentrao – Martins, Moutinho, Meireles – Ronaldo, Almeida, Nani.

The impressive results in the friendly games that followed the unsuccessful World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign hinted that Norway could play a big part in the Euro 2012 qualifiers and Egil Olsen’s men dully delivered.

Deprived of any big stars, the experienced manager has successfully created a homogenous unit with great team spirit and that was one of the reasons for the outstanding start to this qualifying campaign.

After beating Iceland, Portugal and Cyprus, Norway couldn’t beat their neighbours Denmark, but they, nonetheless, remained in the driving seat before the Portugal game.

Another good result against Portugal would further increase their chances of finishing the campaign in first place, and you should know that Norway are now 4.00 (3/1) with 888Sport to win the first place in the group.

Egil Olsen has no selection problems at the moment, although he is a bit concerned by the fact that several starters are not getting enough playing time in their respective clubs.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Knudsen – Ruud, Hangeland, Waehler, J.A. Riise – Hauger – Huseklepp, Tettey, Grindheim, Pedersen – Carew.
