France vs HondurasAfter defeating Wales in the final game of 2015, Netherlands will want to beat Euro 2016 hosts France as well and prove everyone they deserve to be playing at the highest level.

Meanwhile, Les Bleus will be looking to make amends for the November loss to England and start a new winning run in the new year.

Netherlands’ failure to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals can be seen as the biggest disappointment of the qualifying campaign, and the fact that three sides from their qualifying group will play in France is unlikely to provide comfort.

The national team bosses decided to stick with Danny Blind, who is slowly trying to introduce new players into the squad.

Oranje managed to win their final friendly game in 2015, recording a 3-2 triumph over Wales in Cardiff, but they will have bigger fish to fry this time out.

Danny Blind has handed first call-ups to AZ Alkmaar forward Vincent Janssen and Utrecht defender Timo Letschert, but there is no place for Robin van Persie.

Arjen Robben has since pulled out of the side through a thigh problem, and Quincy Promes is expected to take his place.

Newcomer Timo Letschert had a minor issue with a shin injury, but he is expected to be fit for the France game, taking place at Amsterdam ArenA.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Cillessen – Janmaat, Bruma, Blind, Willems – Sneijder, Clasie, Wijnaldum – Quincy Promes, Huntelaar, Depay.

The Euro 2016 hosts will be one of the main candidates for the coveted trophy and the reality is they boast one of the strongest sides in Europe.

And while their back line does not seem to be in full working order, Didier Deschamps is spoilt for choices in midfield and attack, and no wonder they have been made 2.15 (23/20) favourites to see off Oranje.

As expected, Didier Deschamps has handed a first call-up to Premier League hotshot N’Golo Kante, whereas Dimitri Payet has been recalled following some impressive displays in England.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema remains suspended by the national team, whereas Mathieu Valbuena misses out through injury.

France ended a five-match winning run in November as they were beaten by England, and they will want to return to winning ways in Amsterdam.

Les Bleus haven’t been too impressive on the road under Didier Deschamps, and they will be looking to improve the poor away record.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lloris – Sagna, Varane, Koscielny, Evra – Pogba, Diarra, Matuidi – Griezmann, Gignac, Martial.
