Getafe aim to end their five-match winless run and further escape the danger zone with three points against Athletic Bilbao, although los Azulones could face a difficult task in this match.

Despite failing to win any of their last five league games, Michel’s side are still seven points clear of the bottom three and do not feel the pressure just yet.

Getafe don’t have much reason for optimism at the moment, having lost 5 out of last 7 home games, but the hosts are very motivated to end the poor run.

First choice keeper Oscar Ustari has resumed training following the lengthy spell on the sidelines, but this game comes too soon for him, while Pablo Pintos, Mane and Jaime Gavilan remain sidelined. Cata Diaz is suspended after picking up 10th booking of the season.

Athletic Bilbao returned to fifth place in the standings as they ended the four-match losing run with a win over Sevilla and they are now in great position to qualify for the Europa League.

Los Leones have significantly improved their performances on the travels this term and considering Getafe’s poor home form, odds of 3.00 (2/1) offered by Victor Chandler on away win look too good to pass.

Striker Gaizka Toquero has picked up a hamstring injury that will keep him on the sidelines for three weeks, but Fernando Amorebieta and Aitor Ocio are back to contention.
