France line-up set to undergo changes for Romania game

Even though France reinforced the first position in Group D standings with an important win over Albania, coach Laurent Blanc is not entirely satisfied with his team’s performance and is likely to make some changes for the Romania game.

Having masterminded a 2:1 victory in Albania, Laurent Blanc is aware a win over Romania would see les Bleus come very close to securing their place at the EURO 2012.

That is exactly why he wants his players to be at their very best in Romania and that could mean several changes to the starting line-up.

The former Bordeaux coach is not happy with the performance of Younes Kaboul, with the Tottenham defender set to make way for Adil Rami, who returns from suspension.

Anthony Reveillere produced another solid performance, but with Bacary Sagna nearing full fitness after recovering from injury, the Arsenal man looks set to get the nod.

Captain Alou Diarra’s place in the side is also in danger after he was partly to blame for the only goal Albania scored on the day, meaning that Sochaux hotshot Marvin Martin could start in midfield alongside impressive Samir Nasri and Yann M’Vila.

Karim Benzema is set to keep his place in attack alongside Franck Ribery and Florent Malouda, after the Real Madrid striker scored the first goal in Albania.

Benzema is 2.38 (11/8) to score in Romania, whereas there is a good value in backing France to win at odds of 2.05 (21/20).
