Spain boss Vincent Del Bosque has dropped the biggest hint yet that Schalke forward Raul Gonzalez Blanco could be included in the 23-man squad for the European Championship finals.

The veteran striker has been enjoying his time at Schalke and proved his scoring prowess by bagging 20 goals in 45 competitive appearances.

Despite not featuring for the national team since September 2006, Spain boss Vincent Del Bosque confirms the 34-year-old will be considered for a place at the Euro 2012.

“He could potentially be called up,” Del Bosque told reporters.

The experienced manager admits there are still doubts over David Villa’s involvement in Poland and Ukraine.

“It is our wish to have him at Euro 2012, but he is still in doubt,” Del Bosque explained.

“We will wait as long as possible.”

After winning last two major tournaments, Spain are regarded as the main candidates for the Euro 2012 trophy, with Bodog paying 3.60 (13/5) on La Furia Roja.
