Benfica need to quickly forget the disappointment of losing the derby game as well as the league title to fierce rivals Porto as they are set to host a very good PSV side.

Having eliminated Stuttgart and PSG in style, the Eagles have been tipped as one of the favourites for the coveted trophy and they are now 8.00 (7/1) at Victor Chandler to win the Europa League title.

However, they will first have to eliminate PSV Eindhoven, which is not going to be an easy task.

The Eagles ended their good run of results as they lost at home to Porto on Sunday, with the game marking the end of their title hopes and the players need to show a response if they want to win this match.

Keeper Roberto should keep his place in the side despite the blunder against Porto, while Maxi Pereira is set to return to right-back position after recovering from injury. Nuno Gomes is out with injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-3-2): Roberto – Pereira, Luisao, Sidney, Coentrao – Javi Garcia – Salvio, Aimar, Gaitan – Cardozo, Saviola.

PSV eliminated Lille and Rangers to earn the clash with Benfica, with the Dutch side hoping to continue in the same manner.

They, too, have lost a derby game at the weekend, with the 2:0 defeat to Twente costing them the first place in the standings, so Fred Rutten’s side will also have something to prove in this clash.

There is no doubt that the boss will be looking to field his strongest side in this match as the club have high ambitions in this competition.

Ola Toivonen should return to the side after domestic ban, while Danny Koevermans is out through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Isaksson – Manolev, Marcelo, Bouma, Pieters – Engelaar, Hutchinson, Toivonen – Lens, Berg, Dzsudzsak.

Benfica are priced 1.80 (4/5) to win the game at 888Sport, whereas PSV are 5.50 (9/2) at Victor Chandler to cause an upset and win the game at La Luz.
