Craig Bellamy WalesEnglish newspaper Daily Express has suggested that Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy is being considered for Wales job.

The 34-year-old, who last night called time on his international career, has already hinted that he will retire at the end of the current campaign.

Having also revealed that he plans to become a coach in the future, Bellamy has now been linked with the Wales coaching job.

Namely, current boss Chris Coleman has been under intense pressure following some disappointing results in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and everything suggests he will not be in charge of the team for the next qualifying campaign.

Former Stoke manager Tony Pulis is 2.38 (11/8) favourite to be next Wales permanent manager, but Craig Bellamy looks a good bet at 6.00 (5/1).

The veteran is held in high regard by the national team chiefs and they could decide to take a gamble and hand him the reigns when Chris Coleman eventually leaves.
