Following the impressive 6:0 aggregate victory over Metalist in the last round, Bayern Leverkusen now play host to very good Villarreal side.

The Germans have been in impressive form over the last few weeks, winning 8 out of last 10 games and odds of 2.10 (11/10) offered on home win by Paddy Power are definitely worth a shot.

Jup Heynckes’s side enter the game full of confidence after beating Wolfsburg 3:0 at the weekend, while the improved injury situation is another big positive.

Sami Hyppia and Hanno Balitsch have resumed training after recovering from injuries and they will be in contention, while Eren Derdiyok could return to the starting line-up. Manuel Friedrich and Tranquillo Barnetta are the only absentees at the moment.

Villarreal overcame stubborn Napoli to earn a clash with Bayer Leverkusen and the Yellow Submarine now want to record a good result before the return leg at El Madrigal.

However, that could be a difficult task as the Spaniards have started to feel the ill effects of the busy schedule and their form has taken a turn for the worse lately.

After losing to Atletico Madrid at the weekend, the visitors enter the match low on confidence and coach Juan Carlos Garrido is likely to rest a couple of starters in this match.

Marcos Senna, Angel Lopez, Cicinho and Joan Capdevila have stayed in Spain, while Carlos Marchena should return after being rested against Atletico.
