New edition of Europa League starts on Thursday and Gameweek 1 has served us some interesting clashes. We have taken all 24 games into careful consideration and have singled out several betting tips that provide the best value for money, so here they are.

Dynamo Kiev vs Stoke

Ukrainian giants are in impressive form, having won their last six fixtures and they’ve got to be considered favourites in this clash. The 4:0 away win over Dnipro, the team that recently beat Fulham at home, shows Dynamo are on top of their game, and with Andriy Shevchenko back to the side, the hosts are expected to record a comfortable win.

Stoke are slowly starting to feel the ill-effects of the busy fixture list and their lucky win over Liverpool cannot change the fact the Potters were completely outclassed by the Reds. With Tony Pulis likely to rest several starters in Kiev, Stoke look desperately short of quality needed to match the Ukrainians.

Prediction: Home win

Odds: 1.83 (5/6) @ 888Sport

Hannover vs Standard

Following the fourth-place finish in Bundesliga, Hannover continued the impressive form by eliminating Sevilla from the Europa League play-offs, so they should have no problems beating what is now an average side from Belgian Jupiler League.

Standard sold four key players over the summer and are now struggling to cope with the demands of playing in two strong competitions. With evident lack of talent and experience in the side, the Belgians don’t look like they can get something from this game.

Prediction: Home win

Odds: 1.67 (2/3) @ Ladbrokes

Lazio vs Vaslui

The arrivals of Cisse, Klose, Konko, Marchetti, Lulic and Cana have really improved the quality of the side that already had players like Hernanes, Radu and Mauri in the ranks, so nobody was surprised to see Lazio beat Rabotnicki 9:1 on aggregate or to record a 2:2 draw against Milan at San Siro. Therefore, a game against Vaslui should be a walk in the park for Delio Rossi’s side.

Following the elimination from Champions League at the hands of Twente, Vaslui managed to beat Sparta Prague 2:1 on aggregate to reach Europa League group stages, but the Romanians don’t have much reason for optimism before the trip to Rome, especially as key defender Marius Constantin is ineligible, while few other defender are rated doubtful.

Prediction: Home win

Odds: 1.44 (4/9) @ Stan James

Shamrock Rovers vs Rubin Kazan

After losing 3:0 to FC Copenhagen on aggregate in the Champions League third qualifying round, this semi-professional side somehow managed to eliminate Partizan Belgrade to reach Europa League group stages, but they clearly face a mountain to climb against very good Rubin Kazan, especially after playing their league game on Monday.

Rubin Kazan have suffered a small dip in form of late, but with Nelson Valdez and Roman Eremenko arriving just before the transfer window closed, the Russians should be able to come good in no time. Rubin’s superior quality and excellent counterattacks should help the team claim maximum points in Ireland.

Prediction: Away win

Odds: 1.53 (8/15) @ Paddy Power

Atletico Madrid vs Celtic

Atletico’s new signings Falcao, Arda Turan and Diego are raring to go and so is the entire squad following the slow start to the La Liga campaign, with boss Gregorio Manzano expected to field the strongest possible line-up. Los Colchoneros need a morale-boosting win before the La Liga campaign resumes and everything suggests that is exactly what they will get.

Celtic were eliminated by Swiss side Sion in the final qualifying stage, but were later awarded a place in the group stages and they could really suffer at Vicente Calderon. The Bhoys are a real force to be reckoned with in Scotland, but they largely struggle on European travels and they should be happy if they manage to avoid a heavy defeat in Madrid.

Prediction: Home win

Odds: 1.44 (4/9) @ Victor Chandler
