Atheltic Bilbao are on the verge of qualifying for Copa del Rey final after the 2-1 win in the first leg, but giant slayers Mirandes are still not giving up on a place in the final after scoring an injury-time goal to keep their qualifying hopes alive.

Los Leones are doing really well on all fronts this season, seeing they are still in the race for Europa League and Copa del Rey trophies, as well as the top 4 finish in La Liga.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side just missed a great opportunity to improve their top 4 chances as they were denied a win over top 4 rivals Espanyol by conceding in the dying moments of the game.

Nonetheless, los Leones remained just two points behind fourth-placed Levante and they can now fully focus on the return leg against Mirandes.

Athletic eased off to a win in the first leg and with Bielsa doing everything he can to make sure his players don’t become complacent, home win at 1.32 (8/25) offered by 188BET looks a good bet here.

Markel Susaeta, Ander Herrera and Fernando Amorebieta are set to return after being rested against Espanyol, but Igor Martinez and Carlos Gurpegui remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Iraizoz – Iraola, Javi Martinez, Amorebieta, Aurtenetxe – Herrera, Iturraspe, De Marcos – Susaeta, Llorente, Muniain.

Segunda B side Mirandes have worked wonders in this year’s Copa del Rey and the mere fact they reached the semi-finals of the competition speaks volumes about this semi-professional side.

Juan Carlos Pouso’s side have shocked everyone by eliminating the likes of Villarreal, Racing Santander and Espanyol, but they could do nothing to avoid defeat to high-flying Athletic.

Mirandes scored the late goal to keep this tie alive, but going to San Mames with a one-goal deficit is hardly a perfect scenario.

The visitors will give their best to avoid defeat at the Cathedral, but the odds of 15.00 (14/1) offered by bet365 on Mirandes to qualify should give you a clear picture of how big a task is in front of them.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Perez – Garmendia, Garro, Caneda, Garcia – Corral, Muneta – Mujka, Martins, Infante – Arroyo.
