Joe Hart

The Premier League Golden Glove is bestowed on whoever makes the most clean sheets in any one English top flight season, and Manchester City’s Joe Hart is favourite to take the prize in the forthcoming campaign.

The England international has won the award for the past three seasons, and is 2.88 (15/8) with Sky Bet to come out on top once more, just ahead of two time winner Petr Cech.

Chelsea’s number one took the inaugural prize back in 2005, keeping a joint-high 21 clean sheets as the Blues clinched their first league title in fifty years, and the 31 year old is 3.0 (2/1) to join Hart and Pepe Reina as those to have clinched the trophy on three occasions.

Edwin Van Der Sar is the only Manchester United goalkeeper to have won the award, when he kept the opposition at bay 21 times back in the 2008/09 campaign, and David De Gea, the man who replaced him at Old Trafford, is third in the list at 5.0 (4/1).

The goalkeepers of North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Wojciech Szczesny and Hugo Lloris, come next at 8.0 (7/1) and 11.0 (10/1) respectively, while Liverpool’s new recruit Simon Mignolet is generously priced at 13.0 (12/1).

The Belgian international kept eleven clean sheets in the league last season, and will play behind a usually solid defence next year as The Reds look to break back into the European qualification places.

Tim Howard of Everton is 21.0 (20/1) shot, with Asmir Begovic of Stoke double the price, despite a decent return of twelve clean sheets last term.

Sunderland’s new shot-stopper Vito Mannone is 101.0 (100/1), while Aston Villa’s Brad Guzan, Tim Krul of Newcastle United and Fulham’s new signing Marten Stekelenburg are all priced at 126.0 (125/1).

At 151.0 (150/1) Jussi Jaaskelanien of West Ham United , Swansea City’s Michel Vorm and West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster find themselves ahead of Cardiff City’s David Marshall and England international John Ruddy of Norwich City who are both 201.0 (200/1), while of all the first choice keepers on the list, Crystal Palace’s Julian Speroni is the rank outsider at 251.0 (250/1).
