The Red Devils visit the Etihad on 22nd September to face their local rivals, but it remains to be seen whether they can count on the England international.
Wayne Rooney is still out with a head injury he sustained in training and is almost certain to miss the weekend’s home game against Crystal Palace.
However, he could be in line for a return in the high-profile match at Etihad, especially as the game comes three weeks after the Liverpool match at Anfield.
It was after that clash that David Moyes said that Rooney was likely to miss next three weeks of action, so there is a chance of the forward returning into action.
