West Brom midfielder James Morrison fears the great start of the season could go down the drain after six successive defeats in all competitions.

The Baggies slipped into the danger zone following five straight defeats in the Premiership, while they were also eliminated from the FA Cup by Reading.

“We are on a slippery slope. That wasn’t us out there and we are disappointed,” Morrison said.

“We hadn’t won in five before this and we are struggling in the league so yes, confidence is low, it’s got to be.

“It’s up to the manager to keep our spirits high. Obviously they are not now because we’ve just got beaten again.”

Despite the latest barren run, the Baggies have shown on numerous occasions this season that they have the quality to escape the relegation race and it is only a matter of time before they came good.

If you also believe West Brom will survive this season, you should back the Baggies to stay up at 1.25 (1/4) offered by Paddy Power. However, if you don’t think Roberto Di Mateo’s side can avoid the drop, then you should know 888Sport pays 3.60(13/5) on West Brom to get relegated.
