Sunday’s early afternoon kick-off in the Premier League sees Champions Manchester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Etihad Stadium, with the hosts looking to close the gap on leaders Manchester United.

City have one just one of the last four games in all competitions, and go in to the game on the back of their come-from-behind draw with Dutch champions Ajax on Tuesday evening.

Roberto Mancini may recall midfielder David Silva, who could recover from his hamstring injury in time to feature, whist defenders Joleon Lescott and Maicon may also be in contention, though Micah Richards, James Milner and Jack Rodwell are all out.

Sergio Aguero, who scored the equaliser in the Champions League midweek is joint favourite with fellow countryman Carlos Tevez to get the first goal of this game, and you can back either at a best price of 5.5 (9/2) with Ladbrokes.

The hosts are unsurprisingly odds on favourites to take the three points, with a variety of firms offering a price of 1.62 (8/13). Spurs are 5.5 (9/2) with most bookmakers, whilst the draw can be backed at 4.33 (100/30) with Sky Bet.

Tottenham will break in to the top four if they avoid defeat in Manchester, though manager Andre Villas will be only to aware of the challenge that awaits his side.

Last season’s corresponding fixture was a five goal thriller, with City coming out on top in a 3-2, whilst last August’s game at White Hart Lane ended in humiliation for the hosts as they were trounced by five goals to one.

Mousa Dembele, Scott Parker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul remain side-line for the visitors, though Sandro may return in midfield.

Top scorer Jermaine Defoe, who added three more to his tally with his impressive hat trick in the Europa League on Thursday is generously priced at 10.0 (9/1) with Paddy Power to open the scoring.

Alternatively, with eleven goals having been shared between these two sides over 180 Premier League minutes last term, you might want to take advantage of Bet 365’s offer of 5.0 (4/1) for there to be five or more goals in the game.
