Liverpool aim to keep their momentum going before the FA Cup final against Chelsea, whereas Fulham arrive to Anfield looking to try and make amends for the 4-0 defeat to Everton.

As disappointing as this season has been for Liverpool, it could still turn out to be much more successful than the previous ones if the Reds manage to add FA Cup title to their Carling Cup trophy.

With the all-important clash against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, Kenny Dalglish’s men can be forgiven for not thinking too much about the Fulham game, but they will be looking to keep the spirits high with a good result against the Cottagers.

The Reds made amends for the home defeat to West Brom as they hammered Norwich at Carrow Road, courtesy of hat-trick hero Luis Suarez, who will probably be rested against Fulham.

Steven Gerrard is also likely to be left on the bench as Kenny Dalglish continues to rotate his squad. Considering the circumstances, backing Liverpool at odds of 1.62 (5/8) offered by William Hill might not be such a bad thing to do.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Reina – Kelly, Skrtel, Coates, Jose Enrique – Rodriguez, Henderson, Spearing, Downing – Carroll, Kuyt.

Fulham are set to visit Beatles’ hometown for the second time in just four days and they will be hoping to fare much better than on their first visit.

The 4-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park came as an abrupt end to team’s impressive run of results that had seen them take 10 points from previous 4 games.

The Cottagers now need to show a response at Anfield and try to pick up at least one point that would probably keep them in the top half of the standings.

That looks easier said than done when we know that Fulham lost 6 of their last 8 away games, while failing to score in four of those.

Bryan Ruiz, Zdenek Grygera and Steve Sidwell remain sidelined, but Stephen Kelly could return to the side.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Schwarzer – Hughes, Hangeland, Senderos, Riise – Duff, Murphy, Diarra, Dembele – Pogrebnyak, Dempsey.
