Everton hoping to extend the good run

Everton missed a great chance to beat fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield, but David Moyes can, nonetheless, be happy with team’s recent uptrend in form.

The Toffes are still just few points clear of the relegation zone and they desperately need a win against bottom-placed West Ham, even though David Moyes faces certain selection problems.

With Tim Cahill away on international duty with Australia, the boss is hoping Louis Saha will be fit to face West Ham, in which case the Frenchman would be paired with Jermaine Beckford.

Phil Jagielka again misses out through injury, meaning Jonny Heitinga and Sylvain Distin will again form a defensive partnership.

The Hammers enter the match on the back of the home defeat to Arsenal that left them at the Premiership bottom, and they simply have to try and get something from this game.

Avram Grant is still without Thomas Hitzlsperger and Manuel Da Costa, but Benny McCarthy and Herita Ilunga could return to contention.

Sportsbook.com sees Everton as favourites here with odds of 1.50 (1/2) offered on home win, whereas they pay 3.75 (11/4) on draw. The price on away win is 6.75 (11/2).
